Cancellation Policy: 72 Hours in Advance Required for Full Refund. WE PLAY IN THE RAIN!

It is your responsibility to review an extended Forecast prior to the Cancellation Deadline and Decide if you are comfortable with Weather Forecast, but please READ BELOW FIRST:

This is a water activity and you should prepare to get wet! We will only cancel if lightening persist. Lightening, Thunder, and Showers pass very quick, so please do not expect a cancellation. We may do a slight delay just as a sporting event would. Weather is unpredictable in SoFlo, so do not trust the Weathermen or Women. Temperatures very rarely get too cold for us to Paddle Board, if you have a condition that makes you uncomfortable in temperatures above 60 degrees then simply notify us in advance and we can make an exception. Otherwise, We will call you if we are canceling.

PLEASE NOTE: If this is a very popular Paddle; then it is usually SOLD OUT. This means we are Reserving Boards for anyone Prepaid and likely have to turn away others who would have reserved your position; therefore any last minute cancellations may be considered however they will only be given credit towards a 2 Hour Weekday Rental and not towards future Full Moon Paddles. Hence, we do not offer Refunds or Substitutions for this Specialty Event.

Please contact (305) 879-4220 if you are unsure.

What Should I Wear?2015-05-08T04:46:33+00:00

Normal Swim Attire.  There is always a possibility of falling in the water, so Reef Shoes are advised as they will help protect your feet from areas that have sharp bottoms, coral, reef, etc…..   Sun protection is advised including Lotions, Glasses, and Hats. (Neck Cords are suggested to prevent loss during a splash in the water)

What Size and How Heavy are the Boards?2017-01-31T13:31:32+00:00

Our Paddleboards weigh 22 to 29 pounds with a few exceptions.  We offer many sizes, but 10’6″ , 11′, and 12′ are the Industry Standards and we stock all of them in our Rental and Tour Fleet.  They are easy to carry a short distance during normal weather conditions, however we caution everyone to be self liable for personal injuries due to transporting of a board.   Winds can cause uncomfortable twisting if the board catches you off balance; so good stability and quick reactions to changes may be required.

Where Do We Paddle?2015-05-10T21:00:14+00:00

Where are you Located?2015-04-05T22:04:46+00:00

Location, Location, Location! 2520 N. Federal Hwy Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305
Our Showroom is Riverfront between Sunrise and Oakland. Great deck for Parties!

Is There an Age Requirement?2017-01-31T13:31:32+00:00

No, however there are several factors in determining when and where to paddle.  Going against a current or strong wind conditions can be challenging for anyone.  The River has low and high tides that are often unpredictable in strength and the ocean is equally unpredictable with sometimes choppy waters or red flags that cannot be predicted with trying to make advanced reservations. our Riverfront Showroom is the best location for all beginners.  Some of our Tours are done in Groups, so we suggest selecting a time that our Guides can provide younger paddlers more attention. Obviously, everyone must be able to swim.  Life Jackets are provide and are required on the boards, however the board itself is a giant PFD, so you are not required to wear the life jacket (If there is any doubt; then wear your life jacket provided).  Parents should advise our experts of your child’s skill level and we will be happy to cater your needs.

How Safe is Paddle Boarding or Can I Get Hurt?2017-01-31T13:31:32+00:00

Yes!  However, unlike boats, kites, sails and other water sports, paddle boarding has very little equipment to worry about.  Essentially it is just you, the paddle, and the board.  This makes it relatively safe, without much complication and risk.  hence, AVOID FALLING ON YOUR PADDLE or BOARD.  Reef shoes are suggested to avoid possible injury to your feet.  Ocean and River Bottoms have coral and sharp objects that can cause serious injury, so precautions should be taken.  Note; Experienced Paddlers do not wear shoes, but everyone does so at they’re own risk.  Weather and Ocean conditions can also be main factors in determining safety.  Check various weather reports for your personal precautions.  All our boards come equipped with a leash (keeps board tethered to your ankle) and a Life Jacket (PFD) which should be worn if you cannot swim from shore to shore or about 100 yards to be safe.  Plus, all of our Instructors are CPR certified.  Sunrise Paddle Boards follow Ocean and Intracoastal Ordinances and Policies to bring you confidence you can count on! (See our Safety Procedures)  Questions Call (954) 440-4562

What if I Fall in the Water?2015-05-10T21:20:27+00:00

We feel our Instructors are the Best!  You will be pleasantly surprised to know that many First Timers never fall at all or maybe only one time for the entire Lesson and Tour.  This sport is Fun and Easy to Learn!  But if you do then no worries because we even train you how to fall.  A little splash in the water is fun for everyone anyway, so there is no reason to be afraid.  The Paddleboards are big and serve as a PFD, but we still have a Life Jacket and Leash on every board.  We do everything possible to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable time.  We are in brackish water, so the tides flush the river regularly.  We play in this water all the time, but we don’t suggest it as a place to swim.  We get hot and jump in for a quick way to cool off and then jump back on our Paddle Boards.  We have been operating these waterways since 2010 and nobody has ever registered a complaint resulting from the water and that is over 50,000 Guest and counting.  If you have any concerns then do not hesitate to call (954) 440-4562
